Direct marketing is based on treating the client as an individual, allows for feedback and does not involve middlemen in the communication chain.


Catalogue marketing is a type of direct marketing that uses product catalogues, which are sent to customers or sold in stores. These catalogues are traditionally brochures with pictures of goods and an indication of prices. Placing order coupons for particular products in various periodicals can be seen as one of the types of catalogue marketing.
